Au fost prezente personalitati ca si Sarah Jessica Parker, Sheryl Crow, Michael Douglas, Sidney Poitier, Dennis Hopper, Brad Pitt, Anjelina Jolie plus castigatorii statuetelor. Cele mai multe Oscar-uri le-a luat filmul Slumdog Millionaire, si anume opt dupa ce a castigat acum o luna trei Globuri de Aur. Cei mai buni actori au fost Kate Winslet si Sean Penn iar cei mai buni actori in rol secundar Heath Ledger si Penelope Cruz. Cei mai prosti actori si care au castigat premiile Zemura de Aur au fost Mike Myers si Paris Hilton.
