The pool from San Alfonso Del Mar, Chile, is 0.70 mile long and it is made on 8 hectare of dust. The project was evaluated at 1.5 billion $ and it was been finished on december 2006. Yesterday morning an asteroid, big as three soccer fileds, passed near Earth, at 538 000 km. The asteroid called TU24 was descovered last year, on 11 october. Although they declared many times that the asteroid will pass us, the internet was invaded of pages that contained TU24 Aphocalipse, The end of the world will come. Don`t panic, the thing that just happened was the only one in the last 2000 years and will not happen in the next 100 years. I belive that we can`t be sure that an asteroid will pass us, although we have the necesary tehnology, until he`s gone. What if on the last 100 km something will change his direction? It`s over with this Asutralian Open 2008. At men`s the winner was Novak Djokovic, after he defeated the surprise of the turneum, south-african Jo-Wilfried Tsonga ( 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 7-6 ). In the semi final he defeated Roger Federer ( 7-5, 6-3, 7-6 ). I was sure that Federer will loose but I wasn`t expecting Nadal to do that. I`m glad for the two finalists, Djokovic being at his first victory in a big turneum like this and the south-african being for the first time in a final or semi final in a big turneum like this.
