First i`ve presented you some big projects that are been made in Dubai City. The turn of Abu Dhabi city, the capital of United Arabian Emirates has come. At this moment Abu Dhabi beholds 9% from the oil reservs of the world and that`s a reason to make it a very powerfull city. I`ve known only one thing about this city and that is the most expensive hotel of the world, Emirates Palace, which beated the seven stars hotel from Dubai, Burj Al Arab.
The modernisation project is actually an island that is half the size of the island of Bermuda, froim Caraibean Archipelag. The investments from this island will be somewhere at 27 billion $.
On this artificial island will be made some big projects like a Ferrari park. This park will have 2500 acres and will include over 24 attractions. In this attractions will be 70 metre tall G-Force tower, a F1 branded twin roller coaster ride, luxury hotels, apartments, villas, a golf course, simulator rides, a race track and dozens of restaurants. The project will cost 600 million $ and will be ready in 2009.
The second big project will be the Desert Islands. The project will include 8 artificial islands that will be made on the Abu Dhabi`s coast. On this islands it will be constructed a preserve reservation, a cultural centre, clubs, cazinos, and a world class environmental. The project will cost 3 billion $ and the first phaze will be ready in 2010.
A project that impresioned me very much is the Louvre Museum twin, which will be constructed in Abu Dhabi. The people from the museum sold Abu Dhabi’s royal family, with a franchise of 20 years, over 100 works of art that cost 700 million $. The first exhibit will be in 2012 and the project will be ready in 2018.
With a special architecture the Abu Dhabi`s Guggenheim museum will beat its predecessors from New York and Bilbao. Here will be presented permanent collections, galleries for special exhibitions, a center for art and technology, archives, a library, and research center. The museum will be launched in 2012.
The next project that I will show it to you is a Performing Arts Centre. These will contain five theaters: a music hall, concert hall, opera house, drama theater, and a flexible theater with a combined seating capacity for 6300. The concert hall will be situated above the four other theaters and will offer some splendid views at Arabian sea.
It will be constructed a 230 meter high building that will be named Empire Island Tower. For now there isn`t an official date for ending this project.
These projects will be needing a luxury hotel too. The building it will named The Corniche Hotel.
It can`t be perfect without some towers. A big projects will contain 6 towers, 1 with 73 floors for offices, 4 with 50 floors for apartaments and the 7th will be a seven star luxury hotel.
The last project that I found will be called The Gate and Sky Tower. The Sky Tower will have 83 floors and will be the biggest tower from Abu Dhabi.
What do you mean with ‘will’ …? All the money is (and has been) on Abu Dhabi. Their investment incomes beat incomes from oil, whitch tells something about Abu Dhabi finances (look at Mubadala investment for example). Dubai is a poor place compared to them
