It`s over with this Asutralian Open 2008. At men`s the winner was Novak Djokovic, after he defeated the surprise of the turneum, south-african Jo-Wilfried Tsonga ( 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 7-6 ). In the semi final he defeated Roger Federer ( 7-5, 6-3, 7-6 ). I was sure that Federer will loose but I wasn`t expecting Nadal to do that. I`m glad for the two finalists, Djokovic being at his first victory in a big turneum like this and the south-african being for the first time in a final or semi final in a big turneum like this.
At girls Maria Sarapova defeated his team mate, Ana Ivanovic ( 7-5, 6-3 ). Sarapova won her third turneum in her live after Wimbledon (2004) and US Open (2006).

Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram, from Israel won the double men`s match, after they defeated Arnaud Clement and Michael Llodra, from France.
Alona Bondarenko and Kateryna Bondarenko, from Ukraine, won the double women`s match after they defeated Victoria Azarenka, from Belarus and Shahar Peer, from Israel ( 2-6, 6-1, 6-4 ).
Chinese Sun Tiantian and Nenad Zimonjici, from Serbia won the double mixt match, from this turneum, after they defeated Mahesh Bhupathi and Sania Mirza, from India ( 7-6 (7/4), 6-4 ).
