Yesterday, march 29, between 20:00 and 21:00 was the Earth Hour. For those that you don`t know what that`s mean I will tell you about. In one hour we tried to make the difference in the fight against global heating. A few million people from all over the world unplugged all electronic things and put off all the lights on the Earths World Day. In a few cities from the world all the people put off the lights, ex Sydney, were the project started, Manilla the capital of Phillippines Islands, Christchurch from New Zeeland and so on. In our country The Central Energetic Dispecerate registred a lower consuming with 100 - 150 megawats, that makes one and a half million bulbs off. Even google decided to particpate at this event, their pages were black.
What impresionated me at Baia Mare, where the local town hall implicated by puting off all the lights on the streets. The stupidity that is between humans is that we didn`t make any publicity for this event. The politicians will never make any publicity when is a good thing envolved, only when the elections came along. A lot of people think that this event was made foolishly. This event wasn`t made for the lights to be put off one hour but to learn something from it. Let`s try to make a better world for us and maybe some will change. Read this article and remember what do you have to do every day. I feel marvelous because I`ve participated at this event and I put off all the lighst things in my house, even the refrigerator. All the good things are counted and remembered. Can you save the world from distruction? Make something good and save energy at least in the night.
