Some shocked photos were made in 2007, on south Australia, by marin biologs when they tested the Shark Shield. This shield emits electromagnetic waves and has the role to freeze out the shark by inducing spasms in their snouts. With the help of this spasms the biolog touched the animal without any problem. The electronic waves work from about eight metres away. Still, a young student from Adelaide University died in 2005 killed by a shark although he had this device. The student name was Jarrod Stehbens. The specialists say that it couldn`t be the fault of the shark shield specially because he had two of them. The devices weren`t on either something went wrong. The body wasn`t recovered and the mister stays unresolved. I don`t know what to believe yet. Some say that the device attracts sharks quickly than it discoveres them. The official shark shield website says the device is 100% operationally.
