The strongest computer in the Europe !

The Research Center from Julich, Germany launched today the strongest computer in the Europe. The computer is called JUGENE and it can make 167 300 billion operations/second. It is composed from 16 racks (telephonic cabin dimension) each having 65 536 microprocesors. This project is destinated for complexe calcuations, moleculary chemistry, climatology and semiconductors development. It has a calculation power of 167.3 teraflops/second and was deceloped by IBM company. Anyway the strongest computer in the world remains the one from San Francisco, which has a calculation power of 478.2 teraflops/second and is gestionated by American Agency for Nuclear Security. It is impressive how much the tehnology evolved. I hope one thing, that is not going to happen what we see in some movies, where the computers are taking out the world.
